Since the challenge of Round 3 of SF#3 was to write a song with the title "It All Makes Sense At The End," distinguishing one song from the other might have become a little problematic. The initial plan was to write a song about a guy whose girlfriend couldn't figure out the endings of famous movies like "The Usual Suspects" or "2001: A Space Odyssey," but this was scrapped in favor of a 1990's alternative feel.

Don't bother reaching for the snooze
Listen to an hour of morning zoo and then
I finally kick the covers loose
I take a shower, eat, and go to work
And my mind is still at the same dead end
I come back home and turn the TV on
Contemplate the day
Repeat the motions again

This life is not what I'd call wonderful
Trapped inside a modern Bedford Falls
Still, Pottersville would be worth paying a call
If it would help me lose this ball and chain
I would run away completely free
Any solace would be a real godsend
But, like George Bailey, I can't leave this place

You do your time so you've got it made
But it doesn't quite work that way
They never say there's more dues to pay
Now you're hanging in limbo
Plotting your next escape

Exchange your passions for necessities
Your dreams and wishes put on hold
